At Pacific Preparatory, we’re more than a school—we’re a 1:1 education partner for K–12 students nationwide. Through our fully accredited virtual school and academic support services, we provide students with tailored instruction, executive function coaching, and test prep—whether they need a full course for credit, weekly tutoring, or a flexible plan during a challenging time.
We work with a diverse student population, including advanced learners, students with learning differences, and those navigating complex medical or mental health needs. Our instructors build strong relationships and deliver individualized support that fosters confidence, curiosity, and self-advocacy.
While we primarily work online, we're currently partnering with Brandeis School of SF to offer a series of small group literacy classes to enhance their afterschool programs. We are hiring two to three K-8 literacy teachers to teach the following courses:
Literacy Launchpad: Foundations in Reading & Writing (beginner K-2 readers/writers)
Reading Rockstars: Building Fluency & Confidence (more advanced K-2 readers/writers)
Writing Skill Builder: Exploring Form & Style (3rd and 4th graders)
From Reader to Thinker: Introduction to Literary Analysis (5th-8th graders)

Pay rate: $60/hour, $660 for each 11 hour class plus paid prep time (interested instructors can also teach two back-to-back courses)
Schedule: Thursdays Sept. 11-Dec. 11 (minus Jewish holidays), class times: 3:35-4:35pm and 4:35-5:35 pm
Requirements: At least 2 years of tutoring/teaching experience (classroom experience a plus), a background in teaching reading and writing, professional communication, and an interest in partnering with two prestigious SF Bay Area private schools.
Teachers are also welcome to work with our other network of students online and in person via 1:1 sessions.
